I've joined a few social networking sites.

Wikipedia has a good article about social networking sites.

I've been interested in social networking since before the Internet, working on zines and trading them through the mail. So when the Internet came around, I was like, oh this is cool. There was this site called sixdegrees.com that we all liked, but it broke.

Tribe:

At least tribe has pretty urls. I pretty much don't go there anymore though. Something abut the site, it just doesn't seem fun anymore, and it was at one time. I think it's this sorta hybrid between craigslist and whatever else it's trying to be that don't work for me.
