I want to develop my own outcome measurement tracking tool, and much how another project has been working on developing whole crm suite as a drupal module, I too think that drupal is best suited to provide the framework for the tool I envision. The only party driving the requirements for this tool is myself however, I'm certainly not skilled or qualified enough to develop an application for someone else, but I think I am on the virge of knowing enough to create something for myself.

The tool/module is basically just a ui hack, to make some taxonomy functionality that already exists in Drupal, to work more like my mind wants it to. Like a good Free Software developer, I have, and am still looking for other code that has already been contributed, that comes close to meeting my requirements. I've managed to create a sort of prototype from existing modules, but of course I need to look at adapting them, to fit my particular need, and what amounts to reducing the amount of clicks and options I need to select when adding content. A streamlined navigation.

Anyhow, I seem to be committing about 8-10 hours a week to this project, and not doing some other things that I might like to do because of this. Basically it's like work. I am learning some things, I think, and not taking it too seriously, so we'll see how it goes.
