It's never to late to learn

When you look back on your life, and remember a younger version of yourself sitting in an abandoned car park, staring at broken pieces of glass, under a starry Texas night sky, thinking what will you be thinking 10, 20, 30 years from now. What will you think about when your idly killing time possibly just sitting somewhere staring up at the night sky, wherever you might happen to be then.

Paradoxically you think about that younger self, and what he was thinking, and if he was thinking that sitting in an abandoned parking lot, he must not have been very interesting. Nor are you now, for thinking back to this, and even writing about it.

On the bright side, you can think back and understand that former self, but there was no chance he could have thought forward and understand or fathom who you currently think you are. Now you'd be really uninteresting if'n he could.
